Individual Note: Grandfather Perry was treasurer at Logan Hardware in the late teens/early twenties- My grandfather Burdette was a sales rep for the same firm. My mother`s family was really from the St. Albans/Hurricane/Huntington area since the 1850s, before that from Monroe County since the early 1800s, and in the 18th century from Amherst Co, VA, and various counties in northern VA. The Whiteds were form Russel Co, VA and the NC border, my great-grandfather going toLogan in the 1870s as a schoolteacher. My grandfather Whited (wib) was aRailroader (train engineer and yardmaster at Peach Creek in Logan Co.)Undated/no source indicated. Pbly. from Charleston Gazette.
